Since 2014 she has branched out to work in private general, orthodontic and paediatric clinics. Yishan has always had an interest in orthodontics and has experienced both traditional braces and clear aligner treatments so she can sympathise with patients throughout their orthodontic treatment.
Yishan is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner and National Board (AHPRA). As an active member of the Dental Hygienist’s Association of Australia (DHAA), Yishan enjoys travelling to international conferences to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practice and research for optimal patient care.
Meet the Team:
Yishan completed a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Queensland with dual qualifications in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Yishan first entered the world of dentistry by joining Queensland Health in 2012 at the Children’s Oral Health Service and Royal Children’s Hospital, now known as the Queensland Children's Hospital.
Locally, she attends national level conferences and dental study group meeting and lectures with her peers.
Outside of dentistry, Yishan enjoys playing music as a member of the Queensland Medical Orchestra (QMO) and volunteers her time in medical and dental aid programs to give back to the community. She also likes to spend quality time with her family, friends and pets.
